AEMV’s Annual Conference will be held in conjunction with the 2008 Association of Avian Veterinarian’s Annual Conference & Expo in Savannah, Georgia, USA. The conference is scheduled for August 9th-14th, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Each year’s conference has improved upon the last, and this year will be no exception. We sincerely hope our colleagues will share their talent and wide range of clinical experience to help continue the worthwhile tradition of AEMV continuing education. Annual AEMV Conference and Business Meeting 2007 was held August 4-5 in Providence, RI

AEMV's Annual Conference and Business Meeting in conjunction with the 28th Annual AAV Conference and Expo was held in Providence, RI, on August 4-5, 2007. It was very successful and included a day-long lecture/web lab on Diagnostic Imaging in Exotic Companion Mammals.

Past AEMV Events

August 2006 marked the first collaborative effort between AEMV and AAV, and the 27th Annual AAV Conference in San Antonio. AEMV presented a full day of lectures, and topics included system reviews, marsupial medicine, practical exotic mammal vaccination strategies, novel diagnostic testing, presentations on emerging disease syndromes and an afternoon researcher’s forum. The conference was well attended and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

In May, 2006, AEMV presented two concurrent wet laboratory sessions in conjunction with the International Conference (ICE) on Exotics, in Bonita Springs, Florida. Topics were Rabbit and Rodent Dentistry, and an Exotic Mammal Technician program. With the announced end of ICE, AEMV quickly moved to continue our collaboration with AAV, and offer both lectures and laboratories in conjunction with the annual AAV conference in 2007.
