AEMV’s 2009 Annual Business Meeting, Conference, and Expo August 8-15 in Milwaukee

AEMV is pleased to announce our 2009 Annual Conference to be held in Milwaukee, WI, in conjunction with both the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV) and the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV). This marks the first time all three groups will host scientific meetings in one venue.

AEMV's annual Business Meeting will be held Monday, August 10th during the annual AAV/AEMV convention and expo. Officer Elections will be held during this meeting, so please plan to attend. The location will be announced at the meeting.

New Exotic Companion Mammal Practice (ECM) Specialty

On April 12, 2008, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) granted provisional recognition to the first completely new veterinary specialty since 1993, called Exotic Companion Mammal Practice (ECM). Click here for details.

the specialty of exotic mammal medicine. AEMV was established in 2000 by veterinarians interested in advancing the veterinary care of ferrets, guinea
pigs, rodents and other small exotic mammals.
